BIM ANIMATION TECHNICIAN - WOKING

We are looking for a BIM Animation Technician to deliver 3D modelling and animation solutions in support of bids and live projects from tender to completion.

Description

Based at our Southern region head office, the BIM Animation Technician will report to the Regional BIM Manager and ultimately the Head of BIM. They will behave in line with our values and collaborate with all internal departments to ensure alignment to the business mandated BIM strategy.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities:

• Assist the regional BIM team with tender responses
• Undertake 3D modelling and drawings of logistics, temporary works and project phasing to support the project team as required
• Animation of programmes and work sequences
• Troubleshoot problems at both content and model levels
• Disseminate BIM innovation and technologies
• Proactive attitude towards research and development, keep up to date with software developments and industry tools
• Any other reasonable task expected by line management
• Keep up to date with BIM trends/developments/innovations/Industry guidelines
• Attendance at wider SRM BIM community workshops


Essential:
• Knowledge of Revit
• Solid understanding of producing 3D models
• Animation experience
• Use of software such as 3DS Max and/or Maya
• Motion graphics experience

Desirable:
• Navisworks
• Synchro
• Maya

Qualifications:
• BTEC in Building Studies, Building Engineering or Building Management or an HNC/HND/Degree in Construction Management or Architecture.
