P22 NHS FRAMEWORK MANAGER

This is a senior role in our health sector team with responsibility for the development and management of P22 and general health sector bids.

Description

The successful applicant will have an excellent understanding of client requirements and, in conjunction with regional business unit leads, be responsible for all aspects of the bid process.

Key responsibilities and accountabilities:

• Develop, lead, manage and maintain a preconstruction team to meet health sector and business unit objectives
• To manage and coordinate the bidding requirements of P22 and health sector projects, working in collaboration with the regional business units
• To recognise contractual, financial, technical and operational risks and to find opportunities to minimise risk and maximise our opportunities
• Effective management of the IHP Joint Venture Business Unit – to lead work winning in the framework, delivering pre-construction services within financial constraints to meet business plan objectives
• On non-P22 bids, ensure a suitable design strategy is in place
• Ensure all bids are subject to correct company adjudication and governance procedures
• Contribute to the effective management of the health sector team

Knowledge and skills required:

• Understanding of the requirements and processes of the P22 framework
• Experience in ICE, NEC, JCT and Dev Agreement forms of contract
• Experience in planning as part of the tender process
• In-depth knowledge of the construction process
• Commercial and contractual experience
• Extremely methodical and well organised
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbally, with a high level of attention to detail

Qualifications:

• Degree in construction related field
• Membership of a construction related professional body (e.g. MCIOB, MRICS)
• Relevant Construction Skills Certificate Card
