General Information

Located within the Mayfair Conservation Area and incorporating a number of retained facades, this redevelopment project provides a four-storey office building with a single level basement.

Sustainability was a key tenet in the design brief for the scheme which is rated BREEAM ‘Excellent’.

Sustainability measures include exposed thermal mass, innovative passive multi-service chilled beams and an open loop ground source renewable energy system which provides 100% of the building’s heating and cooling requirements.

We delivered on our client’s aspiration to improve the public realm, retain the existing streetscape and link it with other historic sites and byways.

The project is one of a series of contracts undertaken for Grosvenor which include Montrose Place in Belgravia, refurbishment of the Grade II listed Chantrey House in Victoria, 77 Grosvenor Street in Mayfair and Belgrave House in Victoria.

The development won the Projects up to 2,000m2 category of the British Council for Offices London and South East regional awards. The judges commented: “The team has delivered a sophisticated solution to the challenges presented from a constrained site. The design delivers a flexible, contemporary workplace which is sensitive to its urban environment.”

50 Grosvenor Hill also won the Gold award in the Retail and Offices category at the 2013 Green Apple Awards for the Built Environment and Architectural Heritage.
