We have a superb opportunity for a Communications Manager at our Group Services Office in Hemel Hempstead.

Reporting to the Head of Marketing and Communications and working with key internal and external stakeholders, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining a consistent integrated communications strategy.

Responsibilities will include:

• Working in collaboration with the Marketing and Communications team to manage both internal and external communications channels, reviewing them regularly to ensure that they are effective and fit for purpose
• Managing key engagement events such as conferences, briefings and webinars from conception through to deployment
• Providing communications counsel and trusted support and advice to managers
• Planning, writing, editing and proof reading content for a variety of internal communications mediums
• Helping to support cultural change and championing best practice communications, including responsibility for our employee engagement survey
• Deputising for the Head of Marketing and Communications when required

Applicants will ideally have the following skills, knowledge and experience:

• Excellent communication skills and a capability to converse at all levels – writing, presenting, PR and media
• Proven experience in corporate PR delivering integrated campaigns
• Ability to develop and build relationships with senior managers and media contacts
• Organisational skills - managing multiple projects simultaneously and leading virtual teams to deliver campaign objectives
• Driven and proactive - driving business excellence through engagement and delivering to a consistently high standard
• Systems skills - familiarity with the various channels of engagement required e.g. intranets, internal social media platforms, webinars, blogs, vlogs and forums

The successful candidate will have communications experience within the construction industry and be educated to degree level in a relevant subject such as marketing, communications, PR or journalism. They will be professionally qualified, CIPR, CIM or similar.
